Heybike Mars 2.0 hyped as upgraded fat-tire e-bike ahead of launch - NotebookCheck.net News

Heybike has announced that an upgrade to its Mars model is on the way in the third quarter of 2023. The 2.0 version will still have the basic folding all-terrain form-factor, yet is touted to deliver some interesting tweaks that might make it more interesting than the average e-bike of its class.

They include an upgrade to a 750W motor with a 1200W peak mode, as opposed to 500~750W in the original Mars. It is also rated to deliver 28Nm of torque, which might get it up to speed faster, and a top speed of 28  miles per hour (~45 kilometers per hour (km/h)). electric scooter with seat

That estimated power is derived from a battery that can be taken out of a unique under-saddle bay on the bike. Unfortunately, its capacity could be greater at 600Wh (48V/12.5Ah), which confers an estimated range of 45 miles (~72km): slightly less than the first-gen Mars.

Then again, v2.0 might score some practicality points back in that it comes with a rear rack as standard, and an "enhanced" one at that. It is rated for a "payload capacity" of up to 330lb (~150 kilogram (kg)), and has pegboards on either side, although the small accessories (like water bottles) that could attach to them are optional purchases.

Finally, the bike has a Smart App for functions such as activity-tracking and navigation, and will come in orange, blue, gray or black colorways. Heybike has yet to announce pricing and availability for the Mars 2.0, however.
